Which side faces up on carpet?

The gray side faces up over carpeting while the white side faces up on hard flooring surfaces.  See the full installation details on the “Installation” tab from our homepage.

Will Teebaud® leave a residue?

TEEBAUD® will not leave a residue on carpet.  However, when installed on a smooth surface, TEEBAUD® may leave an inoffensive light residue which is water soluble.  The residue can be cleaned with water or common household cleaners such as Orange Glo Hardwood Floor Everyday CleanerTM  or Bonakemy TM subject to specific floor finish/surface manufacturing guidelines.

Is Teebaud® washable?

We do not recommend washing Teebaud®.

Is Teebaud® safe to use on radiant heated floors?

Teebaud® is safe for use on radiant heated floors installed for residential application with temperatures not exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit.

Is Teebaud® recommended for outdoor use?

Teebaud® can be installed outdoors in areas protected from weather. In areas not protected from the weather, the non-skid property of the underlay may wear out sooner than normal.

Do multiple pads need to be taped together?

If several pieces of Teebaud® are necessary for one rug, simply apply as many pieces as needed, side-by-side. Taping or splicing is not necessary.

What tools are needed to trim the pad?

Teebaud® requires no special tools for trimming. The pad is easily trimmed using household scissors or a utility knife.

Reversible Non-Skid Rug Underlay

 

TEEBAUD® is a multi-purpose non-skid rug underlay. The product is made of two different 100% virgin polyester fibers needle punched together and coated with a water base pressure sensitive dry adhesive with no solvent in it. It can be used on wall-to-wall carpeting or on smooth flooring surfaces.

 

Prior to installing TEEBAUD®, the floor should be vacuumed, clean and dry. TEEBAUD® must never be installed on a wet floor. In order to obtain a long lasting non-skid performance, avoid frequent removal and re-installation of TEEBAUD® from its designated installation area.

 

When installed on a smooth surface, TEEBAUD® may leave an inoffensive light residue made of dust, particles of dirt, fibers and resin. The residue can be easily cleaned with many common household cleaners, subject to specific floor finish/surface manufacturing guidelines.
